Mérida Downtown Home
Imagine a tropical version of an enchanted cottage surrounded by an enormous garden and you start getting an idea of this very special property. Sitting camouflaged by nondescript outside walls on the south side of downtown Merida, is one of Merida´s greatest secrets. Everything about this house is singular: The owner spent years designing every detail from the overall design to even such small things as the window screens. The garden began with 10 flatbeds of exotic plants from her last garden and antique fountains, pavements,wells etc that were meticulously collected through the years; all these elements were added to existing structures, new constructions and one of the largest lots in downtown to create a harmonious and amazing total design.
